MCM Nightstand Study
A material and lighting study exploring translucent resin integration, touch-responsive lighting control, and mid-century inspired form.
The work combines wood fabrication with embedded illumination, allowing light to diffuse through translucent surfaces while maintaining the warmth and structure of the surrounding material. Touch-through wood dimming functionality allows the object to operate without visible switches or external hardware, emphasizing surface continuity and interaction through material.
Developed as part of an ongoing series investigating functional objects, ambient lighting, and tactile user interaction.
